8vo. (9 x 5.75 inches). pp.xxv, 314. B/w photo frontis and 15 plates, hors texte, with b/w illusts to text. Publisher's brown cloth, title and author blind stamped to spine, in brown. Boards mottled. Light spotting to prelims and extrems. Gift inscription scrawled in ink to front free endpaper, dated 1927. O/w contents clean and bright. Binding firm and square. A Very Good copy. The title page bears the legend ' Illustrated with Photographs by the Author and With Sketches and Cover-Design by Lieut. D. D. Haskard, R.A.'. However, this copy is bound in plain brown cloth without Haskard's colour pictorial design going round both covers and spine and so this is the remainder issue. We are members of the P.B.F.A.
