4to. (10 x 7.5 inches). pp.35. 3 original mounted albumen photographs of interiors (6 x 7.5 inches), with printed captions. B/w frontis, b/w plates, including fold-out illust of tomb of Sir Ralph Pudsay at Bolton. Original moire cloth gilt, rebacked. Inner hinges strengthened. Dealer's marks in pencil to front pastedown. Ink inscription to front free endpaper: 'Edmund Sharpe Esq., with the kind regards of The Author'. [Not otherwise signed]. Light spotting to paper mounts and edges of the sepia-toned photographic plates. O/w contents clean and bright. Binding firm and square. This is a Very Good copy indeed. Uncommon early photographs.
