Full calf gilt, marked, rubbed. Marbled endpapers. Personal bookplate, signed in the plate 'Wheeler 1905', to front pastedowns. Mid 20th century owner's light blue rubberstamp (name and full address, including old-style 4 digit telephone number) to blank flyleaves. Some browning to prelims and extrems. Vol II front free endpaper short tear to inner hinge at gutter, leaf slightly loose. Trifle light spotting. O/w contents clean and bright. Binding firm and square. A Very Good set indeed.
