Small 4to. pp.228. Illustrated with 27 mounted albumen photos by Bedford, Sedgfield, Wilson, Fenton and others, many with arched tops or trimmed to circular. Original blue cloth, bevelled edges, gilt, with a circular photograph mounted to both covers. Slight fraying to head of spine and joints [3/4 inch]. All edges gilt. Bookplate of Nigel Temple to front paste-down. Front inner hinge just-cracked. Endpapers and prelims spotted, with some spotting throughout. Albumen prints richly toned. Book ticket of Westleys of London to rear paste-down. A very good copy. Gernsheim 162.
